Lot 3 Norman Lloyd, Bathing and rowing on the lake, oil on canvas, 75.5 x 95cm, $3,000-5,000

In a rare event, Mossgreen will hold a single artist auction for over 60 works by the Australian artist Norman Lloyd in June. The Paul Greenberg collection is perhaps the largest and most comprehensive collection of Norman Lloyd works in private hands, covering the artist's career of some 65 years.

Highlight of this year’s auction calendar will be the sale of the collection of the late John W. Kluge of the US. The collection of over 60 works has been repatriated for sale in Australia via Christie’s, New York and their Australian offices. The collection features some exquisite Papunya boards which are considered by many as the jewels of Australian Indigenous art.
