About Mossgreen Gallery
Mossgreen Gallery is located
at 310 Toorak Road near the corner of Chapel
Street in the hub of Melbourne’s South
Yarra retail and lifestyle zone.
The
landmark building has three spacious gallery
levels accessed by a glass elevator. With stylish
and contemporary finishes there is great natural
light from the floor to ceiling windows.
Set
back slightly from the street there is a front
courtyard enclosed by classic Art Deco gates which
allows extra space for clients to gather outside
for preview nights in summer.In spring, summer
and autumn, the space will functions with a café on
Saturday mornings.
The
gallery directors Paul Sumner and Amanda Swanson,
have many years experience in the arts. Paul Sumner
has twenty five years experience working in the art world, London and in Australia.
Amanda Swanson has a Bachelor of Arts and ten
years experience in fashion and the arts, most
recently as the Manager of Arthouse Gallery in
Sydney.
The gallery represents approximately thirty artists from emerging to established artists working in diverse media including painters, sculpters, ceramicists and mixed media artists.
The
gallery also holds annual exhibitions of early
Aboriginal art including bark paintings and artifacts.

In addition to the calendar of gallery exhibitions, the Gallery
can also provide expert advice for private and corporate collectors, including
investment strategies and advice on all matters pertaining to the development
and maintenance of an art collection.

Mossgreen consults to many private
and corporate clients in regards to the acquisition, maintenance
and dispersal of collections.
Charity
Auctions
Paul Sumner has taken over 230
charity auctions for various charitable causes
in Melbourne, Sydney and London and is available
without charge for registered charities under
certain conditions.

In addition to these ever-changing
exhibitions of art the Gallery can also provide
expert advice for private and corporate collectors,
including investment strategies and advice on all
matters pertaining to the development and maintenance
of an art collection. Mossgreen Collection encompasses
both Design and Art, combined together with the
focus on exemplary design. Our Annual catalogue
exhibition : By Design features fine Art, design,
decorative art and furniture which is sourced both
Internationally and Australia-wide. The aim is
to exhibit all facets of design together, thereby
creating an intriguing exhibition where clients
can view potential works set up in as urban contemporary
interior, knowing each piece is unique in the world.

Career
Mossgreen requires casual employees for
many of our gallery exhibitions, single owner auctions and twice
annual Australian Art and Asian Art Auctions to assist with the
following: packing and unpacking items for exhibition/ auction,
portering and assisting at exhibitions, viewings and auctions.
We are looking for people who have not only an interest in the
commercial arts industry, but are also well presented, have excellent
communication skills and work well as part of a team.
