YVONNE AUDETTE 1950’s - 2008 – A Selling Retrospective Exhibition
Throughout the past decade Audette’s reputation has continued to grow. Her recent exhibition ‘Different Directions 1954-1966’ at the National Gallery of Victoria (2007/08) was met with critical success and a retrospective exhibition is now scheduled at the Ian Potter Museum of Art, Melbourne in 2009.
Yvonne Audette is truly an international Australian artist. Her works are infused with a multitude of ideas, influences and nationalities. With one of her works to be published within the Guggenheim Museum’s upcoming publication ‘Doors of Perception: American Art and Asia’, Audette has cemented her place not only in Australian art history, but also as a significant contributor to abstraction on the international stage.
